Behind Kent Samurai

Kent Samurai was founded and developed by Rula Metaxas.
A 5th Dan Black belt in Jikishin Ju Jitsu and Silver European Medalist in Random Attacks 2014, Bronze European Medalist 2016 and Silver European Medalist in Random Attacks 2018 and European Judge. Rula wanted to give others the chance to feel safe within their communities by providing the service of self defence classes for all.

With rising crime rates and personal crime within communities it is important to feel able to walk alone feeling safe and secure. With the aid of Kent Samurai this opportunity is now available.

KentSamurai intends to develop the skills needed for effective and efficient self defence through the use of a person's own body weight.
 
Under the United Kingdom Martial Arts Governing Body (UKMAGB) Kent Samurai has a full Child Protection Policy. All instructors are trained, hold First Aid certification, hold Public and Personal Liability Insurance and enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Clearance (DBS - Disclosure & Barring Service) the safety of our students is always the first priority.
